MARY T. AGARD

Funeral services for Mary T. Agard were held from the chapel of the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home in Clarion on Tuesday morning, Sept. 17, 1985. Rev. Kenneth R. Torvik of Eagle Grove officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield. She died at the Clarion Care Center on Saturday afternoon at the age of 86. She had made her home there since February of 1978.

Mary was born Feb. 2, 1899 at Thor and was the daughter of Peter and Minnie Thompson Westre. As a child her family moved to Eagle Grove where she was educated. On July 18, 1915 she was married to Claude Agard and he died in 1959. For several years she worked at the Boss Hotel in Webster City and in 1965 moved to Clarion.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jack W. (Mildred) McClelland of Clarion; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband and two brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Agard was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.
