Edwin Agard Passes Away

Little Edwin Edward Agard, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Agard was born April 14, 1911, and died Sept.17, 1916.

He was taken suddenly ill Thursday morning with acute appendicitis and his life was despaired of from the very first. As a last resort he was operated on Saturday afternoon but he only lived until about 2:00 o'clock Sunday morning.

Edwin had just started to school and will be greatly missed by his classmates and by the children of the neighborhood with whom he was a favorite.

The funeral was held at the M. E. Church, Monday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Rev. Sands having charge of the service after which the form was laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery.

The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family at this time.

Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Benedict of Renwick attended the funeral of Edwin Agard here Monday afternoon.

The community was saddened to learn of the death on Sunday, September 17th, of little Edwin Agard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Agard, after a very brief illness of appendicitis. He was only five years old and a pretty and attractive child.

Appropriate funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Reverend Sands. Interment was in Glenwood cemetery.

Their many friends sympathize with them in this great bereavement. The Good Book says, “He can not come back to us but we can go to him."
