Zelda L. (Eimbrink) Schreur

Zelda Laurine Schreur passed away Tuesday, January 25, 1994 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, Iowa.

Zelda, the daughter of William F. and Laura Verdilla (Kienenberger) Eimbrink was born July 25, 1920 at Belmond, Iowa. After receiving her High School diploma she attended Indiana Central College in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated in 1943. She then taught elementary schools in Iowa and New Mexico. She also helped conduct numerous Vacation Bible Schools and Bible Study Groups.

She was united in marriage with Garrett Schreur on November 25, 1952 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Goodell, Iowa. The couple lived on a farm in the Norway Township. In the fall of 1983 Zelda moved to Kanawha where she worked part time in Clarion and then later at the Kanawha Nursing home.

Survivors include two sons: Herbert and his wife Laurie of Kanawha, Iowa; Charles and his wife Donna of Kirkland, Illinois; one sister, Neva and her husband John Davids of San Diego, California; three brothers-in-law: Herman and his wife Edna Schreur, William and his wife Maylene Schreur, and George and his wife Anna Schreur; two sisters-in-law: Helen and her husband, George Eekhoff and Betty Schreur; ten grandchildren: Josiah, Sonnett, Lambertus, Japheth, Garrett Lee, Yonah, Kathrine, Simeon, Jacob and Leanna. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Garrett in 1980; a brother-in-law, John Schreur in 1991; and a sister-in-law, Mary Schreur in 1972.
