Conrad Knutson Dies

Conrad Knutson, 52, died at the Creek Nursing: home about 8:30 Wednesday evening. Mr. Knutson had suffered from cancer for a number of years but only recently had been seriously ill. The body is at the Kastler funeral home and details of the No funeral arrangements had been made late yesterday evening. funeral can be secured there.

Last Rites For Conrad Knutson

Last rites for Conrad Knutson, 50, were held Monday afternoon at the Evangelical Lutheran church. Mr. Knutson died Wednesday evening, June 22nd, at the Creek Nursing home, following a lingering illness.

Rev. T. J. Severtson had charge of the services and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Obituary

Conrad Gabriel Knutson was born to Mr. and Mrs. Erik Knutson September 21, 1898, at Jewell, Iowa, and died at the Creek Nursing Home, Eagle Grove, Iowa, June 22, 1949, age 50 years, 9 months and 1 day. He received the Christian baptism, and moved with his parents to Eagle Grove, Iowa, in the year 1900. With them he was received into to membership in the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. He attended the public schools of Eagle Grove.

He was taught the way of salvation in Jesus Christ in the home, at Sunday School and in the confirmation class, and confessed the Christian Faith in his youth. He is now survived by five brothers, Tandrup, Emil, Madel, Swardrup, Selmer, also by three sisters, Mrs. Hannah Strom, Mrs. Tillie Bard and Mrs. Ruby Lerdal, as well as by a number of nieces and nephews and a large number of relatives and friends. He has been employed by the C&NW railroad for many years until his health began to fail, which finally called him away from this life.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 27, from the Knutson home and from the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
