Homer LeRoy Johnson
13 August 1911 ---- 28 February 1983

Homer LeRoy Johnson, the son of Joe and Edna Mae Rose Johnson, was born on Aug. 13, 1911 at Wesley, Iowa. He grew up and attended school in the Wesley area. On March 17,1934, he was united in marriage with Dorothy Koppes at Webster City. The couple made their home in Webster City for many years and Homer was employed by the City of Webster City. They have lived in Eagle Grove for the past eight years. He died at his home early Monday morning, Feb. 28, 1983, at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 15 days.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Eagle Grove; a daughter, DeeAnn, Mrs. Lee Trask of Lehigh, Iowa; a son, Ronald D. Johnson of Iowa Falls; eight grandchildren; a brother, Joe Johnson of Iowa Falls; six sisters, Maudie, Mrs. Elmer Hutchinson of Eagle Grove; Ollie, Mrs. Ralph Stoll of LuVerne; Edna Duffield of Webster City; Bessie Norem of Alden; Fay Freese of Alden; Ida Hutchinson of Alden and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 13 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services for Homer L. Johnson were held on Wednesday, March 2, 1983 at 2 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Rev. Charles Dutton officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Tuesday.
