Curtis Leroy Wagner
28 April 1929 ---- 26 June 1997

Curtis LeRoy Wagner was born April 28, 1929, on a farm north of Eagle Grove. He was the son of Amos and Theoline Johnson Wagner. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1949, and then served four years with the United States Navy. On July 14, 1951, he and Joan M. Larick were united in marriage at Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. They farmed on the same farm all their married life. He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge in Eagle Grove and a member of El Kahir Shrine of Cedar Rapids.

Curtis L. Wagner died Thursday, June 26, 1997, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion at the
age of 68. Survivors include his wife, Joan, Eagle Grove; four children, John and wife, Jan, Pleasant Grove, Utah, Jana and husband, Jim Pitik, Rock Island, Ill., Kirk, Fort Dodge, and Kristy and husband, Chris Anderson, Webster City; seven grandchildren; father, Amos; Rotary Ann Home, Eagle Grove; brother, Art, Eagle Grove; and sisters, Doris Solheim, Eagle Grove, and Marie Greene, Humboldt. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Private family services were held Monday, June 30, 1997. The body was cremated. Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
