Aletha G. Daniels
4 December 1934 ---- 8 April 2014

Aletha Daniels, 79, of Zeeland, Michigan died peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Aletha was born December 4, 1934, in Byron Center, Michigan, to the Rev. Harry and Luella Van't Kerkhoff.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family: husband of 56 years, the Rev. Wilbur D. Daniels; son, John (LaJunta) Daniels of Dallas, three beloved grandchildren, Lauren, Justin and Morgan all of Dallas; a sister, Mary Ann Evenson of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother, Dan (Peggy) Van't Kerkhoff of Hudsonville, a sister, Sharon (John) Kleinheksel of Holland, a brother-in-law, Marlin Daniels of Belmond, Iowa. In Glory, she will be greeted by Aletha and Will's son, David, who died in a drowning accident in 1986.

Always centered in her faith, she gave witness of that to many people during her life, to friends and family, and in the past weeks with hospital and hospice personnel. She is remembered by countless people for her Godly influence on them, her caring and love for others, creativity, faith lessons, and as a faithful partner with her husband Will during their years of Christian ministry that began in Glen Lake, MI, twice at Trinity Reformed Church in Holland, Palm Springs Reformed Church in West Palm Beach, FL, and Hope Community Church in Scottsdale, AZ. They finished their ministry partnership with specialized interim ministry in New York, Iowa, Arizona, and California. She authored small group study books, and loved to lead others in sharing and growing in their walk with God.

A service of worship and thanksgiving will held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 19, 2014, in the Sanctuary of Christ Memorial Church, 595 Graafschap Rd., Holland. A time of visitation will be prior to the service in the Gathering Place from 2:00-3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd., Holland MI 49423, or to the Student Scholarship Fund of Western Theological Seminary, 101 E. 13th Street, Holland MI 49423.
