Mrs. W. F. Welker Ill at Boone

Mrs. W. F. Welker is quite seriously ill at the home of her daughter, Grace M. Welker at Boone. A letter to this office contains the information that Mrs. Welker is improved, but not out of danger. Her children were called to Boone because of her critical illness. Georgia L. Welker is there from Long Beach, California, Miss Jean Welker from Sioux Falls, S. D., and Howard, Donald and Willis from Ashland, Wisconsin.

The late W. F. Welker was formerly yardmaster and trainmaster for the Northwestern at Eagle Grove.

DEATH OF MRS. AGNES WELKER

Ashland Wis., Resident Had Resided Here During Winter With Her Daughter.

Mrs. Agnes Welker died Monday afternoon at 5:40 o’clock in the Boone County hospital where she was taken Monday forenoon. Before Christmas Mrs. Welker fell and broke her wrist and since then had not been well. For the past few weeks her condition has been serious.

The deceased had been making her home in this city during the winter with her daughter, Miss Grace Welker of Hotel Hoist. Her former home was in Ashland, Wis. Besides the daughter here, Mrs. Welker is survived by the following children: Miss Georgia Welker of Long Beach, who was here for a month with her mother; Miss Jean Welker of Sioux Falls, S. D., and Messrs. Howard, Donald and Willis Welker of Ashland. The remains will be taken to Ashland Tuesday night where funeral services and interment will be Thursday.

Mrs. Welker was 76 years old. The deceased was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Lucile, and a son. The sympathy of many friends goes to the bereaved family.

Death of Mrs. A. Welker

Mrs. Agnes Welker, 76, a former resident of Eagle Grove, died Monday, March 28, at the home of her daughter, Miss Grace Welker in Boone. Mrs. Welker had been ill for a number of weeks, mention of which was made in the Eagle a few weeks ago.

She is survived by six children, Jean of Sioux Falls, S. D., Grace of Boone, Georgia of Long Beach, Calif., Howard, Don and Willis all of Ashland, Wis.
