Gertrude Trask, 91, of Eagle Grove, died Sunday, December 28, 2003, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday December 31, 2003, at 11 a.m., at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Visitation will be held beginning at 9 a.m. until service time at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Gertrude Trask was born September 21, 1911, in Eagle Grove, the daughter of Harry and Emma (Heinbrodt) Knight. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Eagle Grove High School. On July 2, 1931, Gertrude married Lorenzo Trask. They farmed east of Eagle Grove for five years and then near Duncombe and Corwith; returning to Eagle Grove in 1943. Lorenzo passed away on February 20, 1974. Gertrude was an active member of the United Methodist Church and circle. She loved to sketch and paint.

Survivors include her son, Garry, and his wife, Gladys, of Humboldt; a daughter-in-law, Marge Trask; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Glen, three infant children, and a sister, Helen.

Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove is in charge of the arrangements.
