Juanita Velore Atherton
1 December 1901 --- 28 February 1903

Juanita Velore Atherton, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Atherton, was born Dec. 1st 1902, [1901] and died Feb. 28th, 1903, at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Palmer. The child was sweet in disposition, and while frail in appearance she had always been well until five weeks before her death when she was smitten with tubercular meningitis the disease which caused her demise.

Juanita Velore Atherton, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Atherton, died early Saturday morning at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Palmer on Wright street. The child was sick just five weeks with tubercular meningitis, and when the end came passed away suddenly and peacefully. She was a patient sufferer and seemed to have a wonderful hold on life as shown by the length of time she successfully resisted the disease. The parents and relatives have the sympathy of the whole community in their untimely bereavement.

The funeral service will be held at the Baptist church at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 1 and will be in charge of the pastor of the church.
