LYNN LESTER KNIGHT

Lynn Lester Knight was born July 30, 1919 the son of Jerry and Maude Kelling Knight at Goldfield. He attended country school near Goldfield and graduated from Goldfield High School in 1937.

He was united in marriage to Fern Mickelson of Eagle Grove on January 1, 1941 at the United Presbyterian Parsonage in Goldfield. The couple farmed after their marriage until their retirement and moved into Eagle Grove.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield.

Lynn Lester Knight died at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames on Sunday, June 27, 1993. He had attained the age of 73 years, 10 months and 27 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and a brother.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Jerry of Albany, Mo., and Larry of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Mrs. David (Sharon) Becker of Anamosa; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth and James, both of Goldfield; and two sisters, Lucille Kvale of Goldfield and Betty Lou Knight of Emmetsburg.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 29 at the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield. The Rev. Victor V. Victoria officiated at the 2 p.m. service. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
