Mary Rose Henningsen, 93, of Clear Lake, died Monday, February 10, 2020, at Fort Dodge Villa Care Center in Fort Dodge.

A graveside inurnment will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Mary Rose Henningsen, 93, died February 10, 2020 at the Unity Point Hospice, Villa Care Center, Fort Dodge, IA. A Graveside service will be held 10:30 AM, August 28, 2020, Friday at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA with Rev. Dr. Pat Hall officiating. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Mary was born April 15, 1926 in Kanawha, IA, the daughter of Angle and Alice (Omvig) Asche. She attended rural schools in Kanawha and graduated from Eagle Grove High School. She married Ray Henningsen June 25, 1963 in Canton, South Dakota. They moved to Clear Lake in 1968. She managed the Clear Lake V.F.W. for 3 years. She also managed the Luth Cottages in Clear Lake. She was a crossing guard for 14 years on North Shore Dr. by Sunset School. She loved to fish, do crossword puzzles and read.

Mary is survived by two daughters Terri Spencer, Fort dodge, IA and Sherry Trantham, Midland, Arkansas; four brothers Ronald Asche, Idaho, Robert Asche, John Asche and Terry Asche all of Eagle Grove, IA; three sisters Mildred Ann Reed, Eagle Grove, IA, Alice Jean Lessemier, Ft. Dodge, IA and Linda Kay Asche, Eagle Grove, IA; five grandchildren, eight great-grandsons and four great-great-grandsons. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ray; parents; three brothers Edward, Joseph and Kenneth; and granddaughter Cindy Spencer.
