Gregory Lee Hoiekvam, beloved brother, uncle and friend has joined the angels. Greg passed away on April 21, 2013 at the Kavanagh House at the age of 63 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on November 29, 1949. He graduated from Iowa State University and was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. Greg was a State Farm agent in Urbandale for 32 years.

Preceded in death by his parents Donald and Helen, survived by his brother Richard Hoiekvam (Omaha), his sister Judy Fredregill (West Des Moines) his nephews Peter Hoiekvam (Chicago), Erik Hoiekvam (Omaha), Jason Fredregill and Sean Fredregill (West Des Moines) and three great-nieces and four great-nephews.

A private family memorial will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Kavanagh House.
