Andrew Gardfred Anderson
February 12, 1903 --- October 28, 1978

Andrew G. Anderson, 75, of RR No. 2, Eagle Grove, died on Sunday morning at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion where he had been a patient for the past week.

Memorial services were held at the Holmes Lutheran Church on Wednesday afternoon at one-thirty with the Rev. Orville Sanderson officiating. Burial was in the Holmes Cemetery and the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home of Clarion was in charge of the arrangements. The organist was Mrs. David Wilson and the special music was by Mrs. Venora Anderson and Miss Olena Anfinson. Casket bearers were Verne Christensen, Joe Schultz, Everett Wagner, Kenneth Kvale, LaVeme Romsey and Orvin Arthur.

Andrew Gardfred Anderson was born on a farm in Lake Township of Wright County on February 12, 1903 and was the son of Ole and Gertie Wagner Anderson. On June 21, 1947 he was married to Marjorie M. Graves at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Mr. Anderson farmed all of his life in the Holmes area.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Dr. Lowell Anderson of Marcus; and one sister, Mrs. Sherman (Gladys) Ekeland of Belmond. His parents and one brother, Olaf, preceded him in death.

Mr. Anderson was a member of the Holmes Lutheran Church.
