MORRIS (MOE) ANDERSON
Funeral services for Morris (Moe) Anderson, 72, were held from First Lutheran Church in Clarion on Wednesday morning, August 13, 1986 at ten-thirty. Rev. William Granger, officiated and burial was in the Holmes Cemetery. The Eyler-Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. He died at the Clarion Community Memorial Hospital on Monday morning after being hospitalized for the past six weeks. Special music at the service was by Gary Brandt. Casket bearers were: Leslie Beecher, Fred Bjornson, DeWayne Kiley, Gary Nelson, Wayne Stupka and William Vroman. Honorary bearers were: Arland Anderson, E.L. Atwooll, Richard Clagett, Marvin Clopton, Elmer Erickson, Joe Fisher, Ray Gardner, John Smith and Harold Turk.

On May 14, 1914 he was born at Holmes and was the son of Andrew and Laura Nodland Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Holmes Lutheran Church and received his education at Holmes and Clarion. On June 15, 1935 he was married to Florence Vroman at Mason City. From 1937, until his retirement in 1974 he was with the Chicago Great Western and later the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He was a conductor.

Survivors include his wife, Florence, four children; Robert of Norwalk, Mrs. Ron (Patricia) Nigg of New Orleans, LA, Roger of Anoka, MN and Mrs. Stanley (Paula) Erickson of Eagle Grove; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a half-sister, Marie Rivness of Silverton, Oregon. His parents, five brothers and seven sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Anderson was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
