RITES HELD FOR MRS. BERTHA REED, 79

Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Reed, 79, Eagle Grove, former Hardy-Renwick resident were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 18, 1967 at the Blake Funeral Home in Renwick, with the Rev. Roy Belsmeyer of the Methodist Church in LuVerne officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield.

Mrs. Reed was born in 1887 at Wakefield, Ill. She married Albert Reed in 1907 at Newton, Ill. Mr. Reed died in 1954.

Mrs. Reed is survived by two sons, Lester, Eagle Grove; Robert, DeWitt; three daughters, Mrs. Miller Wergeland, Hardy; Mrs. Sam Werstein, Renwick; Mrs. Hiram Thompson, Humboldt; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Wallace Stanley, Charlotte, Ill.

Mrs. Reed was a member of the Methodist Church.

Attends Funeral

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wanken attended funeral services for his great grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Reed of Eagle Grove in the Blake Funeral Home, Monday, with burial in the Goldfield Cemetery. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Wanken, Julie and Paula were dinner guests in the Sam Werstein home.
