Arthur Storer Funeral Wednesday
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Sandvig Funeral Home at 2 p.m. for Arthur Storer, 91. Mr. Storer died Dec. 13th at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Dodge where he had been a surgical patient. He had resided at the Taylor Nursing Home for some months. Rev. Geo. Knutson of Greene, and Rev. P. R. Halvorson had charge of the services Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Mr. Storer is survived by one daughter Mrs. Arthur Konrad of Guatemala City, Central America, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Konrad arrived Tuesday to attend the funeral. Mr. Storer had been a resident here for many years moving here when he retired from his farm near Goldfield.

Arthur Alexander Storer was born to Wilse and Jean Ashby Storer in Cincinatti, Ohio, on July 10, 1872 and died in the Lutheran hospital, Ft. Dodge on Dec. 13 at the age of 91 years, 5 months and three days.

During his youth he left home to work in Illinois and from there moved on to Iowa where he has spent all of his years since, most of them in farming. After retiring from the farm he did painting until after he reached the age of 85. Many years ago he received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and was baptized in The Baptist Church at Goldfield where he had his membership for a number of years.

On March 9, 1905 he was united in marriage to Jennie Miller. To this union one child was born: Jean (Mrs. Arthur Konrad) who is a missionary in Guatamala. Mrs. Storer preceded him in death on April 23, 1962. Those who remain to mourn his passing include his daughter, Jean, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren and many friends.
