William Harrison McCutcheon, 87, died Thursday at the Rotary Ann Home, Eagle Grove. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church with burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Surviving are one son, Everett, Eagle Grove; one daughter, Mrs. Russell Oviatt, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. Luella Axon, Goldfield and Mrs. Martha Pardun, Clarion.

Mr. McCutcheon was born in Wright County and attended school at Evergreen Country School near Goldfield. He had farmed all of his life in the Goldfield area.

He was a member of the Evergreen Sporting Association.

Obituary

William Harrison McCutcheon, son of William and Martha McCutcheon, was born January 31, 1889 on a farm in the Evergreen community and passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 1976 at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 11 days at the Rotary Ann Home.

He was baptised at an early age and at the time of his death was a member of the Goldfield United Methodist Church. He attended the Evergreen and Goldfield schools.

He was united in marriage to Besse Beisell December 4, 1912 at Goldfield. They made their home on the family farm in the Evergreen Community until retirement in February 1946 at which time they moved to Goldfield.

He served on the Board of Directors of the Farmers Elevator Cooperative at Goldfield for many years and was active in many other community organizations. He was a life long member of the Evergreen Sporting Association.

He is survived by his wife Besse, two children, Everett of Eagle Grove; Margaret (Mrs. Russell Oviatt) Goldfield; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Luella Axon, Goldfield; Mrs. Martha Pardun, Clarion; nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, two brothers and five sisters.
