Phyllis Margaret (Packard) Hanson
7 March 1904 -- 24 April 1970

Mrs. Hanson service set for Tuesday
Graveside services for Mrs. Ward (Phyllis) Hanson, 66, 1201 3rd SW, who died Friday at her home, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. She was born March 7, 1904, in Eagle Grove, the daughter of Arthur H. and Eldora Mae (Gardner) Packard. She attended schools in Eagle Grove. On Aug. 31, 1921, she married Ward A. Hanson, in Humboldt. In 1936 they moved to Mason City where Hanson worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. Mrs. Hanson worked in the men and boys department of the Mason City Younkers store for 13 years. The Rev. Emmett Braselton, pastor of the United Church of Christ, Eagle Grove, will officiate.

Mrs. Hanson is survived by her husband. There are several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at the Major Memorial Chapel until 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Former resident Is Buried Here
Graveside services were held here Tuesday for a former Eagle Grove resident, Mrs. Ward Hanson of Mason City. She died there Friday following a heart attack. Mrs. Hanson was the former Phyllis Packard, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Art Packard of Eagle Grove. Mrs. Hanson is survived by her husband.
