Hannah Marie (Zakariassen) Pederson
May 16, 1854 --– February 10, 1924

Mrs. Hannah Peterson was born May 16, 1854, in Egersund, Norway. She spent her young years in that place and it was there she found Jesus as her Savior and lived for Him the rest of her life. She was married to Peter Anton Tennesson and moved to Christiana, where they lived but a few years. Her husband passed away in 1885, leaving her with a little boy about a year old. In 1903 she came to the United States, to Webster City, Iowa, where Tennes had come a year previous. They lived in Webster City five years, then moved to Eagle Grove, where she has lived since. She passed away Sunday evening, Feb. 10, 1924, aged 69 years, 8 months and 24 days, leaving her son, Tennes, and his wife to mourn the loss of a very kind and devoted mother. She leaves no near relatives as they all have passed on before her into eternity.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home on Montgomery street and the East Side Lutheran church. The remains were laid to rest in the Rose Hill cemetery.
