Mrs. Agnes Olson funeral Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Olson were held Monday afternoon in the Thor Lutheran Church. Pastor Marlin Ingebretson officiated and burial was in West Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor. Mrs. Olson died Saturday afternoon at the Sisson Nursing Home in Humboldt where she had resided for the past eight years.

Mrs. Olson is survived by two children, Mrs. Arden Berhow and Maurice Olson of Thor; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.

OBITUARY
Agnes Torella Emrud, daughter of John and Ingrid Tukua Emrud, was born September 28, 1894 near Manchester, Minn. She was baptized on October 21 in the West Freeborn Lutheran Church by Rev. J. J. Strand and was confirmed in the same church, September 12, 1909 by Rev. T. J. Strand.

She received her early education in the country schools near Manchester, Minn., and graduated from the Luther Academy at Albert Lea, Minn., in June of 1913. The following year she attended Normal School in Sioux Falls, S. D. On January 24, 1917 she was united in marriage to Otto Olson in the Manchester Lutheran Church by Rev. T. J. Strand and to this union two children were born, Irene and Maurice. The Olsons had been residents of the Thor area since 1917. Agnes taught Parochial School in Thor and Belmond and had taught Sunday School in the Thor Lutheran Church for 30 years. She had been active in the A.L.C.W. and was a member of the Legion Auxiliary.

She had been in ill health many years and for the past eight years had been a patient in the Sisson Nursing Home, Humboldt, where she died Saturday afternoon, February 2, having reached the age of 79 years, 4 months and 4 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Otto, who died in April 1972.

She is survived by her two children, Mrs. Arden Berhow and Maurice, both of Thor; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Oscar Emrud of Albert Lea, Minn., and Oliver Emrud of Alden, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Gunhild Sweet of Albert Lea, Minn.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 4 in the Thor Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Marlin Ingebretson officiating. Interment was held in the West Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor.
