Death of Mrs. Alvin Fisher
Last Tuesday morning, October 10, 1909 at her home in Fort Dodge, occurred the death of Mrs. Alvin Fisher, from a cancer of the stomach. The remains were brought to Eagle Grove and the funeral services worn held Thursday in the Baptist church, Rev. Fauquot officiating. Interment was made in the Goldfield cemetery.

The deceased was the daughter of J. H. Smith of Clarion. She was born in Tipton, Ia., January 21, 1878, and came to Wright Co. when she was seven years of age. She was married twice, Alvin Fisher being her second husband, to whom she was married June 10, 1902. She leaves one son by her first husband, Glenroie, aged 12 years. There are left also, two brothers, Charles and Earl, and two sisters, Mrs. Stroup of Holmes, and Mrs. Mary Utley of Fort Dodge. Her relatives and many friends have the sympathy of the entire community, and we join them in expressing the deepest sorrow at her death.

[her first husband was Herbert Palmer; Her gravestone is incorrect. She died in 1909 and not in 1910 and Smith was her maiden name and not her name "Emma Fisher" when she died.]
