RUTLAND — Funeral services for Peter Whitved, 66, long-time resident of Rutland who passed away at his home Tuesday afternoon following a heart attack, will be held this afternoon (Friday) at 3 o'clock at the First Lutheran church in Humboldt with the pastor, the Rev. Oscar Rem, officiating. Mrs. Russell Sime will be the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Oscar Rem, Casket bearers will be Elmer Schultz, George Colle, Ephraim Hovland, Levi Sandven, Ole Fjetland and Merrill Firebaugh. Burial will be in the Rose Hill cemetery in Eagle Grove with the Lindhart funeral home of Humboldt in charge.
Mr. Whitved had suffered from a heart ailment for several years and had been to the business district in Rutland shortly before the fatal attack at his home. He was born in Denmark in 1889 and came to Rutland in 1913. He was married to Mrs. Helen Simpkins in 1930. He is survived by: his wife; one step-son, Dale Simpkins in Milwaukee, Wis.; two brothers in this country, Nels Whitved of Nashua and Soren Whitved of Lake Benton, Minn., and several brothers and sisters in Denmark.

Burial services for Peter Whitved who died at his home in Rutland Tuesday will be here Friday afternoon at Rose Hill cemetery. Mr. Whitved died following a sudden heart attack. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Simpkins of Eagle Grove.
