Laid to Rest

Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Wise are called upon to mourn the death of their little infant daughter Fern. She had been sick for six weeks with whooping cough and complications, but last week was thought to be on the way to recovery. A change for the worse was noticed last Wednesday, and Thursday night she died. Mr. Wise was telegraphed for and came from Jewell Junction on a railroad velocipede arriving here at 10 o'clock Friday morning. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Zellhoefer, were held at the house Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock and interment was made in Rose Hill. The pall bearers were Mina Fothergill, Grace Clarke, Pearle Corey and Haley Copp. The parents have the sympathy of all in their affliction.
