Cora Mae Larson Gunderson
25 March 1900 --- 12 March 1983

Mrs. Cora Mabel Gunderson, the daughter of Knude and Mary Tuttle Larson, was born on March 25,1900 at Eagle Grove, Iowa. She grew up and received her education in the Eagle Grove schools On October 18, 1927, she was united in marriage with Joseph B. Gunderson at Eagle Grove and the couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Mr. Gunderson died on July 29, 1967.

Cora was a long time member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. She died on Saturday evening, March 12, 1983 at the Worthington Hospital in Worthington, Minn., at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 17 days. She had been staying with a niece, Marilyn, in Worthington since December 1982 and on Christmas Day she fell and broke her hip and had been in poor health since that time.

She is survived by four nieces: Mrs. Tom (Marilyn) Flynn of Worthington, Minn. Mrs. Wesley (Barbara) Alexander of Butler, Ind.; Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Waggoner of Pine Island, Fla., Mrs. Bernard (Mary Helen) Bickford of Fort Dodge; nephews, Gordon
Larson of Duluth, Minn., and Lawrence Gunderson, Oklahoma City, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Agnes and Laura; a brother, Henry Larson; and an infant brother.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Gunderson were held on Tuesday, March 15, 1983 at 1:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Pastor Paul Schaedig officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home on Monday.
