Ruth Agnes Cooler Williamson
28 October 1875 --- 17 December 1960Ruth Agnes Cooler was born October 23, 1875 to Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Cooler in Conneaut, Ohio. At the age of six, she came to Eagle Grove with her parents, in which vicinity she lived for 75 years. After attendance at Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, she taught in rural schools for several years. She was married to S. Howard Williamson on June 24, 1896, the Rev. Will Southwell officiating. Three children were born of this union, Ernest, who died in infancy; Irene, now Mrs. H. J. Evers of Merrill, Wis.; and Raymond, residing in Lynchburg, Va. She moved to Merrill, Wis. in 1957, following the death of her husband, and lived with her daughter Irene, until her death. She passed away after a short illness, on December 17, 1960. Her two children; two grandchildren, Mrs. Virginia Pradt, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs Dorothy Evers of Merrill, Wis., and four great grandchildren survive her. Mrs. Williamson was a life-long member of the Eagle Grove Methodist church and was active for many years in its organizations. She belonged to the Eastern Star and the Rebekah orders. She was a member of the W.C.T.U. and of the Equality Club.
