MARY LOUISE JOHNSON
Mary Louise Dow was born August 2, 1909, the daughter of Alexander and Beatrice Moore Dow, at Clarion. She received her education in the Eagle Grove school system. She was employed at the Occidental Hotel and various area restaurants. She was united in marriage to Lawrence P. Johnson of Goldfield on April 14, 1952, at Faribault, Minn. The couple owned and operated the Johnson's Cafe in Goldfield for many years and later opened a restaurant in Eagle Grove, the La Mar Inn.

She had been in failing health for some time, and was admitted to the Clarion Care Center. Mary Louise Johnson died at the Clarion Care Center April 12, 1993. She had attained the age of 83 years, eight months and 10 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William; one daughter, Karen; a sister, Bernice and a brother, William. She is survived by her husband; three step-sons, Jerry of Pasco, Wash.;
Larry of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and Stanley of Grimes; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Francis Orr of Aurora, Colo., and numerous nieces and nephews.
