David L. Williams
15 April 1854 --- 9 April 1913

David L. Williams was born in Llanyre Radnorshire, South Wales, April 15th, 1854. He came with his parents to Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1869 where he lived until 1879 when he came to this county and made his home on the farm where he died at midnight Wednesday April 9th, 1913, aged 58 years 11 months, and 25 days. The deceased was never married, and died leaving a brother, Edward Williams, and sister, Mrs. Oliver Watkins. Mr. Williams had a fine large farm on Eagle Creek, having nearly a section of Wright county high priced land. He was one of the best of neighbors, honest, obliging and kind to everybody.

The funeral was held at the Baptist church in Eagle Grove Saturday April 12th at 10 o'clock, Rev. D. P. Odell conducting the services. The burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. His death came suddenly and unexpectedly. He had been to Eagle Grove during the day and retired at night in apparent good health. He was heard moaning in his bed and died without a sign of recognition of those who went to his relief and passed away at midnight,
