Obituary of Mrs. P. N. Lindaas

Anna Jacobson was born in Bommel, Sondhordland, Norway, April 15, 1864, and died in Eagle Grove, Iowa, Thursday afternoon, March 14, 1935, aged 70 years, 11 months and 27 days.

She was baptized into Christ Jesus in infancy, received instruction and confessed her Christian faith in her youth. In 1882 she came to America to Story county, Iowa, and on the 13th day of October, 1888, she was united in marriage to Peter N. Lindaas, at Taylor, Wis. In 1890 Mr. and Mrs. Lindaas moved to Marshalltown, Iowa, living there about two years, coming to Wright county to Norway township, in 1892.

In the spring of 1909 they moved to Eagle Grove, where Mr. Lindaas entered the service of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Co. He passed away from this life December 12, 1929. Mrs. Lindaas is now survived by her two sons, Alfred and George, both of whom reside in Eagle Grove, and by two grandchildren, together with relatives and friends.

While living in Norway township Mrs. Lindaas experienced a spiritual awakening and found peace with God through faith in Jesus Christ. For a period of about 15 years she has been in somewhat poor health and at times suffered intensely. It has required a great deal of patience on her part to endure, but she has continually kept going to Christ who is able to keep that which we entrust to him. It has also required much patience to care for her these years, but her husband, while he lived, and her children, have been very good to her, patiently caring for her. Now she has finished the fight and we trust kept the faith.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the home of her son Alfred and from the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial was made in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery.
