Services for Edward Kelling, 69, farmer, who died Saturday at his home in Liberty township near Goldfield, were held Monday at the Wilson chapel, Eagle Grove in charge of the Rev. John T. Haupt, of the United Presbyterian church, assisted by the Rev. J. C. Harris of the Christian church, Goldfield. Burial was made in Glenwood cemetery in Goldfield.Surviving are the widow: one son, Alvin living at home, and a number of other relatives living elsewhere. The Pallbearers were 6 nephews: Richard, Kenneth and Lynn Knight, Fay and Glenn Kelling and Don Stephens. He was born in Liberty township, had lived in Goldfield vicinity for 55 years.

FINAL SERVICES FOR ED KELLING
Edward George Kelling, son of George and Jane Beaver Kelling was born at Goldfield, Iowa, January 1, 1873 and died suddenly March 14th, 1942 at 2 a.m. in his home a mile southeast of Goldfield. He reached the age of 69 years, 2 months and 13 days. He grew to manhood in this vicinity. He was married Dec. 22, 1899 to Anna Babler of Monticello, Wis. They were married by Rev. John Winter at Hardy, Iowa. Two children were born to this union, Edna who died in infancy, and Alvin now at home. They moved from Hardy to Monticello, Wis. where they resided a few years, then came back to Goldfield. In 1910, they moved to Max, N. D., remaining there until 1924 when they returned to Goldfield where they have since resided.Mr. Kelling was preceded in death by his infant daughter, his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Stephens, Mrs. Hattie McCutcheon; and two brothers, John of North Dakota and Oliver of Goldfield. He leaves besides his widow and son, three sisters, Ella of Ledyard, Mrs. Eliza Aldridge of Marshalltown and Mrs. Maude Knight of Goldfield; also five brothers, Henry of Ledyard, Art of Goldfield, Walt of Clarion, Al of Spokane, Wash. And George of North Dakota. These with many neighbors and friends mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. J.. T. Haupt of the United Presbyterian Church in charge, assisted by Rev. J. C. Harris of the Church of Christ. Music was furnished by a male quartet: Eldon Rasmussen, Harold Scott, Edwin Nelson and Wayne Rasmussen accompanied by Miss Bettie Keith. Casket bearers were six nephews of the deceased, Fay and Glen Kelling, Lynn, Kenneth and Richard Knight and Donald Stephens. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery.
