Former Resident Is Buried Here
Mrs. Mary Monahan, 71, formerly of Eagle Grove, died Friday in the Waverly hospital and was buried
here Monday morning in the family lot at Calvary Cemetery. For a number of years Mrs. Monaghan
was the housekeeper at Sacred Heart Rectory, but of late has made her home with her son Ed Monaghan in Waverly. She is survived by two sons, Ed and Tom of Waverly, one sister Mrs. Lizzie Laurent and brother Dennis Kelly of Vincent.

Mrs. Monaghan Dies at Hospital
Mrs. Mary M. Monaghan, 72, a resident in Waverly for the past 48 years, died Friday at St. Joseph's Mercy hospital. She had entered the hospital the previous day. Mrs. Monaghan was born July 3, 1884, at Vincent, Ia. Her husband, John Monaghan, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons
Edgar and Thomas, both of Waverly; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial was at Eagle Grove.
