Mrs. Kennedy Died Tuesday
Mrs. Clara Kennedy, 73, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Francis Jones about 9:30 Tuesday morning. She had returned here on Thursday from Ree Heights, S. D., where she had been visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roger Paine. Since returning here she had not been feeling well and passed away on Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Kennedy was one of the pioneers of this community. She was preceded in death by her husband, S. D. Kennedy who died in 1919. She is survived by eight children, Mrs. Roger Paine of Ree Heights, S. D., Mrs. Morris Paine of Wenatchee, Wash., Homer Kennedy of Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. Dick McGowan of Council Buffs, Everett Kennedy of Fonda, Rev. Joseph Kennedy of Nevada, Gerald Kennedy of Humboldt and Mrs. Francis Jones.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:30 at the Wilson Funeral Chapel at Eagle Grove and at 2 o'clock at the United Presbyterian church at Goldfield.

Mrs. C. Kennedy Pioneer Resident Passes Tuesday
Mrs. Clara Kennedy, 73, pioneer Wright County resident died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Francis Jones at 9:30 A. M. Tuesday following a short illness.

Mrs. Kennedy had returned from a visit at the home of another daughter, Mrs. Roger Paine at Ree Heights, S. D. only last Thursday and since that time had been sick. She has made her home with her children in recent years as Mr. Kennedy preceded her in death about twenty years ago.

The deceased is survived by four sons and four daughters as follows: Homer Kennedy of Van Nuys, Cal.; Rev. Joseph Kennedy of Nevada, Iowa; Everett Kennedy of Fonda, Iowa; Gerald Kennedy of Humboldt; Mrs. Morris Paine of Wash.; Mrs. Roger Paine of Ree Heights, S. D.; Mrs. Dick McGowan of
Council Bluffs, Iowa and Mrs. Francis Jones of Goldfield. Another daughter, Mrs. Raymond Paine died a number of years ago.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kennedy will be held Thursday (today) at the Wilson Funeral Parlors in Eagle Grove at 1:30 p. m. and at the Goldfield United Presbyterian church at 2 p.m.

Friends and relatives here were saddened to hear of the death of Mrs. Clara Kennedy, mother of Mrs. Roger Paine, who passed away at her home at Eagle Grove, Iowa Tuesday morning, Sept. 23. Mrs. Kennedy was well known here, having visited her daughter here quite frequently, and only last Thursday returned to her home at Eagle Grove, after spending several weeks here.
