Last Rites Here For Former Resident

Funeral services for Theodore M. Howe, 55, of Somers, were held Wednesday afternoon in the Evangelical Lutheran church with Rev. Kenneth R. Torvik officiating. Mr. Howe, a former Eagle Grove resident, died Monday in Fort Dodge Lutheran hospital following a long illness. For many years he was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern railroad and moved to Somers in 1943. Mr. Howe is survived by his wife, two sisters Mrs. Roy Hossman of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Helma Jaehnal of Chicago arid one brother Joseph of Fort Dodge.

Theodore Matthew Howe, born July 23, 1902 at Eagle Grove to Thomas and Julia Howe, died at Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, Monday, May 26, 1958, at the age of 55. He was baptized by Pastor O. R. Sletten and confirmed by Pastor T. J. Severtson at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. He attended Eagle Grove public schools and worked for several years for the Chicago and Northwestern railroad. About 1943 he moved to Somers, where on July 25, 1943 he married Frances Dickerson. He and his wife served as custodians of the Methodist church in Somers for the past 15 years. They have no children.

Mr. Howe is survived by his wife Frances, by his twin brother Joseph Howe of Fort Dodge and by two sisters Mrs. Roy Hossman of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Helma Jaehnal of Chicago.

Funeral services were held at Methodist church, Somers, Wednesday at 11 and at Eagle Grove Lutheran church, Pastor Kenneth R. Torvik, Wednesday at 2:00, with interment at Rose Hill cemetery.
