Gerald Blackman
3 September 1913 --- 9 May 1914

Death of Gerald Blackman
Gerald Blackman eight months old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Blackman died Saturday after a short illness from a disease resembling diptheria. The doctors were not positive regarding the nature of the disease but had placed the Blackman home under quarantine. For this reason it was impossible to have a regular funeral and the little fellow was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery Sunday afternoon.

Master Gerald had been quite seriously ill with stomach trouble during the first few weeks of his life but the past two or three months had been gaining steadily and was normal in every way. Nothing but his strong, rugged constitution enabled him to survive his early trouble but when the recent trouble set in he was unable to withstand the ravages of the disease. Mr. and Mrs. Blackman have the sympathy of the entire community in their great affliction.

CARD OF THANKS
We desire to thank our many friends and neighbors for their many kindness shown during our great bereavement. We are greatful for the timely aid and for the beautiful flowers sent us.
Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Blackman
