Mrs. Floyd Messerly Funeral Wednesday
Mrs. Floyd D. Messerly, 58, died at Mercy Hospital, Fort Dodge, early Monday morning. She had been a medical patient since Wednesday, and had been in failing health for two years. Services were held Wednesday at 11 am in St. John's Catholic Church, Duncombe. The Rev. Louis Kollasch, pastor, officiated at a requiem high mass. Burial was in Newark Township Cemetery near Vincent.

Surviving are the widower, two sons: Donald F., Vincent, and Richard C., Eagle Grove; a daughter, Mrs. [Wyn Ann] Allen, Eagle Grove; three grandchildren; a brother and a sister: William Scully, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Minnie Schneider, Lake Isabella, Calif.

Winifred Marie Scully was born near Seneca, Iowa, and graduated from high school there, later graduating from the former Tobin Business College, Fort Dodge. In 1939 she married Floyd D. Messerly in Fort Dodge where the couple lived until moving to Vincent in 1949. Mrs. Messerly was a member of the Vincent Parish of St. John's Church and the Vincent Firemen's Auxiliary.
