Sandra Jean McVicker was born November 22, 1937, the daughter of Ira and Margaret Seaquist McVicker at Bradgate. She attended school in Bradgate and Clarion, graduating with the Clarion Class of 1956.

She was united in marriage to Lester I. Nicholl of Webster City on March 30, 1958 at Webster City. At the time of their marriage, Lester was in the U.S. Navy. The couple spent their first 17 years together living at various Naval bases including San Diego, Calif., and Long Beach, Calif., Charleston, S.C., and Great Lakes, Ill. He retired in June of 1974, and they moved to Eagle Grove in 1975.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. Sandra Nicholl died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion April 26, 1991, following a short illness. She had attained the age of 53 years, five months and four days of age.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, David.

She is survived by her husband; one son, David, San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Keni) Vrataric, Victorville, Calif.; Mrs. Steve (Leslie) Byers, Apple Valley, Calif.; and Mrs. Dean (Stacey) Larson, Fort Hood, Texas; one brother, Ira McVicker Jr., Webster City; three sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Margaret) Thomas, Goldfield; Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Crosby, Webster City; and Mrs. Shelby (Alberta) Hatter, Ridgeway, Colo; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 29 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Wayne Droessler officiated at the 1:30 p.m. services. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
