Obituary

Death of P. F. McDermott

P. F. McDermott passed quietly away at the home of his father and mother Wednesday, after a lingering illness of some little time. The sad news comes as quite a shock to the community as no one knew that he was so near the end. The deceased was born in Canada and was forty-one years of age. He leaves a wife and five children besides his father and mother and seven brothers and one sister who mourn his early taking away. He has resided for several years at Laurens.

The funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 o’clock at the Sacred Heart church and the remains will be laid to rest in Gethsemane cemetery.

Death of P. McDermott

P. McDermott died in this city November 9. He had been an invalid for some time. He was forty-one years of age and leaves a wife and five children, father, mother, seven brothers and one sister to mourn his death.

The funeral was held in the Sacred Heart church Friday at 10:00 a. m. and the burial was in Gethsemane cemetery.
