John Leroy Kramer, 66, of Eagle Grove, died on Monday, January 8, 2007, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Survivors include his long-time companion Nancy Omvig and her children Randy and wife Ellen of Grundy Center, Rick and wife Donna of Swedesboro, NJ, Russ and wife Michele of Stratford and Julie and husband Wayne Westly of Sioux City, two sisters, Vicki Danner and Husband Joe and Judy Remsburg and husband Roger, three brothers, David, Clyde and Billy Kramer; several nieces and nephews all of Dubuque and Nancy's 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Joshua Omvig.

John LeRoy Kramer, the son of Clarence and Lenore (Fear) Kramer, was born July 13, 1940, in Dubuque. Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth. John was a two year certified nursing assistant at University Hospitals in Iowa City. He later drove truck for Ellsworth and Umthun Trucking in Eagle Grove, Greenfield in Fort Dodge and Van Diest in Webster City. He retired from Van Diest in 2000. The Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
