Word has been received of the death of a former Eagle Grove resident, Francis Loughlin, 58, of Van Nuys, Calif. He had been in ill health for many years.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steve Loughlin of Eagle Grove, and graduated from Sacred Heart high school and then went to California to attend college where he took pharmacy. He owned and operated a drug store in Van Nuys for many years and was very successful.

He is survived by his wife, the former Leeila Kelly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Kelly of Vincent, one son Major Gerald Loughlin of Lincoln, Neb., and daughter Jean Gauthier of Van Nuys.
