Fern L. Andersen was born in Hardy, Iowa in 1913. She received her degree in Theology from the Shiloh Bible College in Oakland, Calif. in 1973. She was an artist and wrote and illustrated flannelgraph stories for children. Her last place of employment was with the U.S. Government as an account technician.

Fern L. Andersen, Big River, Calif., died March 1, 1991, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., at the age of 78. She is survived by. her husband, Victor; daughter, Delores, Las Vegas, Nev.; sons, Wayne, Big River, Calif.; Russel, California; and Paul, San Jose, Calif.; sisters, Esther Tegland, Illinois; Mildred Schmidt, California; and Marjorie Cox, Illinois; brother, Robert, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at the Parker Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in Parker, Ariz. Interment was in the Parker Cemetery.
