Christ Kvale Found Dead Monday at Home

Christ Kvale, 76, a retired laborer, was found dead Monday afternoon in his Northeast Third St. home where he lived alone.

Death was due to natural causes, according to Dr. R. C. Eaton of Clarion, county coroner. The coroner placed the time of death as Friday night.

Funeral services will be today at 1 p.m. in the Sacquety Chapel. The Rev. B. F. Molstre will officiate and interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

A neighbor, Hans Sexse, called police to the Kvale home Monday because he had not seen Kvale for some time. Upon entering the house Police Chief Bob Koob found Kvale sprawled across the foot of his bed, fully clothed.

Kvale had lived alone in the house a number of years. He is survived only by distant relatives.

Obituary

Christ Kvale was born of parents Johanne and Marie Kvale at Haugesund, Norway, January 3, 1883 and came to America in 1900. He lived most of his life in Wright County, Iowa. He passed away at his home 816 3rd Ave. N. E. Friday, January 30, 1959.

Mr. Kvale has no immediate relatives in this country. His relatives live in Norway.

Funeral services were held from Sacquety Funeral Chapel Thursday, February 5, 1959 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor B. F. Molstre officiated. Thomas Thompson sang at the service. Interment was made at Rose Hill cemetery.
