5 June 1888 -- May 31, 1969

Former Thor Man Dies in Minneapolis
Word has been received here by friends of the death of Tom Langland, who died Saturday afternoon May 31, at Veterans Hospital at Minneapolis, Minn. where he had been a patient following a stroke. Funeral services and burial were held at Hauge [Hegre] Lutheran church near West Concord. Minn. Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Langland was born in [Skjold] Norway and came to the United States as a young boy. He settled in the Thor area, where he was employed at different occupations before becoming a businessman.

Among those attending funeral services for Tom Langeland at West Concord, Minn. last Tuesday were Dan Lothe, Victor Lothe, Ed Askeland, Mrs. John Morgan, Ephraim Halgrim, Mrs. Hiram Berkland, Mr. and Mrs. John Vorrie and Everett, Oliver Vorrie, Clarence Olson, Lynn Carter, Eddie Severson, John Carter, Jack Knudtson, Lorelle Vorrie and Willie Keen.
