John Treadgold Funeral This Thursday P. M.

John Treadgold, brother of Mrs. J. W. McGrath, died in Colorado Monday. The remains were brought to Eagle Grove, arriving Wednesday evening, and the funeral services will be held in the Foil & Wilson undertaking chapel this, Thursday, afternoon at 2:30. Mr. Treadgold was 62 years of age.

The sympathy of hosts of friends is extended Mrs. McGrath in the hour of her bereavement.

John William Treadgold was born Sept. 9, 1863 [1862], in Grantham, England. At an early age he came with his parents to Morrison, Ill., where he grew to manhood. In 1884 he moved to Emmetsburg, Iowa, where he lived on the home farm practically the remainder of his life.

On September 20, 1896, he was united in marriage to Miss Rena Aukema, who passed away two years later.

In 1911 he was married to Miss Laura West in Colorado Springs, Colorado and his home was again broken by her death three years later.

Three years ago he sustained an injury to his back while working on the home farm near Emmetsburg, Iowa. Other complications developed which made it necessary for him to go to Colorado, where he passed away Monday morning, June 9, 1924.

He leaves to mourn his sad death his aged father, Anthony Treadgold; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian M. Filkins of Mandan, S. D., Mrs. C. H. Darland of Colorado Springs, and Mrs. J. W. McGrath of this city; one brother, Charles Treadgold of Houston, Texas.
