Frank Christensen Funeral Tuesday in Methodist Church

Frank Christensen, 65, died Saturday at his farm home north of Eagle Grove following a long illness. He is survived by his wife and four brothers, Rasme of Britt, James and George of Eagle Grove and Harry of Goldfield.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Methodist church, in charge of Rev. Roy Cox. Casket bearers were Delbert Christensen, Vernon Christensen, Jerry Christensen, Kenneth Parrish, Tom Christensen, and Robert Wiley. Military honors were in charge of the Clarence Shurtz Post 304 of American Legion. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Frank Christensen, son of Marie and Hans Christensen, was born June 19, 1892, at their farm home northwest of Eagle Grove, Iowa passed away Saturday, March 22nd, 1958 at his home at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 3 days, having been practically bedfast for many weeks.

Mr. Christensen enlisted in the Army July 23, 1918, and was discharged August 28, 1919. He attended Ellsworth College at Iowa Falls. On March 11, 1925, he was united in marriage with Luella Nielson. Since 1933 they have lived on their farm at the north edge of Eagle Grove. Mr Christensen took pride in his home and his farm. He sincerely loved to be helpful and aid those in troubled or difficult times, and freely gave of his time and services to those who needed them with no thought of return. He was active in community affairs serving many years on the Wright County Board of Trustees. He was a member of American Legion. Mr. Christensen was raised in the Christian faith, and was a member of the Methodist Church at the time of his death.

Mr. Christensen is survived by his wife, Luella, and four brothers, Rasme of Britt, James and George of Eagle Grove, and Harry of Goldfield.
