July 20, 1858 --- March 5, 1950
Mrs. Alice McDonough died early Monday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. George Winters, 303 West 7th Street North. Mrs. McDonough had been in good health, and quietly died while in her sleep. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Kastler Funeral Home, with Rev. Lloyd Meyer in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Miss Alice Amelia Fossler was born on July 20, 1858, in Ogle county, Illinois. She passed away Sunday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Geo. Winters. She was 91 years, 7 months and 16 days at the time of her passing.
Miss Fossler married Mr. John McDonough and to this union was born three children, Ernest McDonough and Mrs. Charlie Banks who preceded their mother in death, and Mrs. Lulu Winters.
Mrs. McDonough was converted at the age of 17 and in 1905 moved to Eagle Grove where she has resided until the time of her passing.
Mrs. McDonough leaves the following grandchildren, Merle McDonough of Emmetsburg, Iowa, John McDonough of Fairmont, Minn., Mrs. Emery Gordos of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Raymond Heyden of Waterloo, Iowa, as well as many friends to mourn her passing.
