Mrs. Pearl Mesecher dies last Friday
Mrs. Pearl Mesecher, 75, died Friday morning at Bethesda General Hospital, Fort Dodge, where she had been a patient for two days. She was a resident of the Rotary Ann Home, having moved there from her farm in 1967.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in charge of the pastor, Rev. Lon Schneider, and interment was in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City.

Mrs. Mesecher is survived by one son, Gerald Mesecher of Tampa, Fla. and one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Hanson of Newton. She is also survived by three grandchildren; two brothers: Myron Paine of Tucson, Ariz, and Howard Paine of Webster City and one sister, Edna Johnson of Boone.

Obituary
Pearl Paine was born April 16, 1895, in Illinois, the daughter of William Howard and Cassie Algoe Paine. She moved to Hamilton County at an early age, attended school in Hamilton County, and also the Webster City Business College. On February 20, 1918, she was united in marriage to James B. Mesecher of Webster City at Des Moines. The couple returned to the Hamilton County area after their marriage, and farmed in the Eagle Grove, Duncombe and Highview areas.

Mr. and Mrs. Mesecher became the parents of three children, two of whom survive. Mr. Mesecher died March 12, 1961. Mrs. Mesecher moved to the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove in October of 1967. She was living there until being taken to the Bethesda General Hospital at Ft. Dodge on Wednesday, Sept. 23, and died there Friday morning, Sept. 25, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, 9 days.

She is survived by one son, Gerald Mesecher, Tampa, Fla.; and one daughter, Va Lora, Mrs. Lloyd Hanson, Newton; two brothers: Myron Paine, Tucson, Ariz.; and Howard Paine. Webster City; one sister, Mrs. Edna Johnson, Boone, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Verne.

Mrs. Mesecher was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eagle Grove, was a Deaconess in the church, and was active in church work.

Funeral services were held on Monday, 2 p.m., Sept. 28, at the 1st Baptist Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Lon Schneider officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery at Webster City.
