Lyle D. McCollough died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at his home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, at the age of 79.

Survivors include his wife, Donnabelle, Eagle Grove; three daughters, Donna Madson, and husband, Stan, Eagle Grove, Janis Tincher, and husband, Larry, Forest City, Iowa, and Ronda Jenkins, and husband, Henry, Dallas, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Maynard, Marshalltown, Iowa, Russell, Webster City, Iowa, and Marvin, Apache Junction, Ariz.; and two sisters, Leona Kuntz, Minnesota, and Gwendolyn Whalan, Centralia, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Evelyn.

Lyle Dale McCollough, the son of Marion "Max" and Effie (Lacy) McCollough, was born on Dec. 26, 1922, in Webster City. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth. He was united in marriage to Donnabelle Bohy on Jan. 31, 1943, in Webster City. He then entered the armed services in March of 1943, and was honorably discharged in December of 1945. They made their home in Webster City until moving to Eagle Grove in 1950. In 1970, they moved to Dakota City, Iowa, and then returned to Eagle Grove in 1983. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Mon., Dec. 16, at 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
