Funeral services for Mrs. Florence McVicker Rounds, 87, of Mason City, a former Eagle Grove resident, will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home. Reverend Don Callen will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Eagle Grove.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Mrs. Rounds died Sunday at the Heritage Home in Mason City.

Mrs. F. Dell Rounds, was born at West Bend, Iowa on May 27, 1893, the daughter of Chester and Eva Peticrue [Petticrew] McVicker. She departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 30, 1980, at the Heritage Nursing Home in Mason City, Iowa, having attained the age of 87 years, six months and three days.

She was united in marriage with Charles S. Rounds of Eagle Grove, on June 21, 1911. The family lived in Eagle Grove, where Mr. Rounds, was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. In 1937, the family moved to a farm near Green, Iowa. Mr. Rounds died in 1953. Dell had lived in Mason City for several years and for the past three years, she had been a resident of the Heritage Home in Mason City. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove and later, Mason City, and a member of the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are five daughters, Dorothy, Mrs. Merle Williams of Thornton; Ethel, Mrs. Elwood Williams of Iowa Falls; Ileen, Mrs. James Garnsey of Morning Sun; Mary Jean, Mrs. Harlan Johnson of Mason City; Mrs. Joan King of Balatin [Balaton], Minn.; four sons, Ralph of Eastover, S.C.; Chester of Bettendorf; Wayne of Cedar Falls; and Virgil of Knoxville, Tenn.; 46 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Archie McVicker of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; an infant son, Gerald; and two sisters, Blanche McVicker and Mrs. Edith Horton.

Funeral services for Mrs. F. Dell Rounds were held on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Rev. Don Callen, pastor of the United Methodist Church officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Wednesday.
