Dorothy Irene Weibel, the daughter of John R. and Iva Del Mitchell Doidge, as born on October 10, 1910 at Sioux City, Iowa. She grew up and received her education in the Sioux City area. On October 15,1932, she was united in marriage with Joseph Weibel at Sioux City. The couple lived in Mobridge, S.D. and Billings, Mont., where Mr. Weibel died in 1949.

Dorothy lived most of her life in Sioux City and 6 years ago she had moved to Eagle Grove to be near her daughter and family. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Sioux City. She died on Wednesday morning, March 27, 1985 at the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, where she had been a patient for the past few days. She attained the age of 74 years, 5 months and 17 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Joanne and her husband, Donald Motley of Eagle Grove; two grandsons, Joe Pendergast of Des Moines and Brian Motley of Eagle Grove; a great grandson, Timothy Pendergast and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Ruth, and a brother, Jack Doidge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy I. Weibel, 74, of Eagle Grove and formerly of Sioux City, were held on Saturday, March 30, 1985 at 11 a.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Rev. Scott C. Hall, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Visitation was held on Friday at the funeral home.
