January 30, 1951 ---- July 11, 2019

Larry R. Larson, 68, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Thursday morning, July 11, 2019, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. Rev. Andrea Kraushaar will officiate. Visitation will be prior to the service, starting at 12:00 p.m., at the Church. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh.

Larry Ross Larson was born on January 30, 1951, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Harlan and Doris (Rossow) Larson. He received his education in Goldfield.

On June 5, 1976, Larry was united in marriage to Deb Maas. They were blessed with two daughters, Ann and Claudia.

Larry owned & operated Larson Woodworking and was a talented artisan. He truly enjoyed restoration, especially of their home for over 40 years.

Larry belonged to the First United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. He was gifted musically and sang and played for many funerals, weddings, and events over the years. He had served on the Lehigh City Council and was Mayor of Lehigh for many years. Larry was an avid supporter of the Lehigh community, was active in Comedia Musica Players of Fort Dodge where he performed and built sets, loved to travel, and treasured the time with his family and teaching the grandchildren his trade.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Deb Larson of Lehigh, IA; two daughters, Ann Moenck of Fort Dodge, IA, Claudia (Tim) Kersting of Des Moines, IA; three grandchildren, Logan Moenck, Jenna Moenck, and Remington Kersting; his grand dog, Ean; three siblings, Lana (Terry) Eagen of Mason City, IA, Lance (Linda) Larson of Omaha, NE, and Lynne (Robert) Malloy of West Des Moines, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
